carrying her body for burning
fumbles furtively her left breast.
Mata Hari is shot as a spy.
Med students use her corpse
to practise an appendix operation.
Clara Pettaci, knickerless,
rigor mortis setting in, swings
upside down in a Milan garage.
Standing on a box a priest
tucks her skirt around her thighs.
A nine-year old girl is excommunicated
for an abortion. The stepfather who raped
her stays in the congregation of the faithful.
